Tranquility
Autumn and winter come slowly to the Hill Country of Texas. Eventually winter arrives with temperatures that are probably more like early fall in other parts of the country. It is a tradeoff. We have very warm summers and mild gentle winters. I can live with that.
Camp Verde, Texas, is a green and wonderful place nestled in the rolling hills of South Central Texas. The Camp part of the name comes from a cavalry post that once existed there. It has the singular distinction of being a proving ground for the US Army Camel corp. I just shake my head at that notion. As you may have guessed the camels didn’t work out.
